Clemente has developed a professional career as a photographer since 1986. He has spent the last 30 years photographing most of the major crises and political issues in Spain through long-term photographic essays. He has worked extensively as a photojournalist for various media in works such as Ya basta (Chiapas), Alta es la noche(Honduras), Canopus (Argentina), Tua Vulnera (Palestine), Hunger market (Mauritania), Los olvidados de Tubmanburg (Liberia), Kiev12 (Ukraine) or Aktion Reinhardt (Poland). He has taken part in numerous collective photographic projects and his work has been published in the mainstream media as well as numerous collections of public and private institutions and international museums. He is also the author of more than a dozen books.
